A SHOW in Barrow celebrating the career of a music icon will now be celebrating her life after the tragic passing of Tina Turner.

The legendary Proud Mary singer sadly passed away aged 83 on Wednesday.

An announcement about her death read: “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tina Turner. With her music and her boundless passion for life, she enchanted millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of tomorrow.”

A show dedicated to the music of Tina Turner arrives to perform at The Forum tomorrow (Friday).

What’s Love Got To Do With It? is described as a night of ‘high energy and feel-good-rock-and-roll.

The music is performed by an all-live band and includes hits such as River Deep, Simply The Best, Private Dancer and many more.

Those who attend the show will be invited to ‘stand in applause’ to reflect on the incredible career of Tina Turner before the show commences.

The producers of What’s Love Got To Do With It? said: “We are all deeply saddened to hear of the passing of the Queen of Rock’n’Roll, Tina Turner.

“Our show has always been a celebration of her incredible music career and it will now be a celebration of a life which has impacted the world of music so much. The legacy of Tina Turner will live on as her music continues to mesmerise fans worldwide and inspire future stars.

“In honour of that incredible life we will be inviting audience members to stand in applause to reflect and remember her ahead of our show at the Forum, Barrow-in-Furness.”
