A PORT VALE fan has spoken about what the Barrow AFC faithful can expect from their first summer signing David Worrall.
Worrall joins Pete Wild's Bluebirds after six years in Staffordshire.
In this time Worrall became a cult figure, featuring in some of the Vale's biggest games in recent times, including a third-round FA Cup tie against Manchester City and promotion to League One in the playoff final at Wembley last year.
Don't be sad it's over. Be happy it happened! Super Dave! Always welcome but he's done what's best for him and his family! https://t.co/3wqa3b8vTn

However, after the expiry of his contract at the side that is now managed by Andy Crosby, following the departure of Darrell Clarke earlier in the season, Worrall will move to South Cumbria as Barrow look to improve on their historic ninth-placed finish last campaign.
After the transfer was announced, Jonny from the Ale and Vale Podcast spoke about why Worrall became such a loved player in Burslem.
He said: "What to expect? A player with endless energy, desire, and a peach of a right foot.
"Best played right wing or left wing but equally adept at wing back where he has played for us the last 2 years.
"He delivers assists consistently and he loves getting to the byline to deliver. He is also really good in the air for someone who isn't the tallest.!
Anyone questioning the affect Carol has had on the club. Just listen to the last 5 minutes of this! He was one of the very best in the last few years, speaks so well but the time is right for us both! https://t.co/SC27C82EWH

Jonny also looked ahead and predicted that Barrow, now bolstered by the arrival of Worrall, could be a force to be reckoned with next season.
He said: "Barrow have got a serious player on their hands and if he plays on the right and Whitfield on the left and Gordon down the middle they've got a serious front three for League Two."
