CUMBRIA Police confirmed that it had found a dead body on the shore of Roa Island, south of Rampside.
Furness Coastguard assisted the police in the call out to Walney Channel at just after 2pm on April 30.
Inspector Damian Mottram confirmed that an unknown man was found washed up on the shore of the island. The death is unexplained, and currently, enquiries are ongoing.
