APPLICATIONS to convert two four-bedroom properties in Barrow into houses in multiple occupation (HMOs) have been submitted.
The work would see internal alterations made to 85 Hartington Street and 45 Ramsden Street.
Both properties have three storeys and would become seven-person, seven-bed HMOs.
The applicant in each case is Karthik Krishna.
All 14 bedrooms across the two homes, which are around five minutes' driving distance apart, would have en-suite bathrooms.

No external alterations would be made at either property.
Application statements published online say that parking is available in both Hartington Street and Ramsden Street.
The statements also refer to the locations' 'accessibility to public transport'.
Decisions on the plans are to be made by Westmorland and Furness Council.
