A NEW book by Gill Jepson about the changing landscape of the town will be launched at Barrow Library.

Gill will present a visual chronicle which mirrors images in Barrow in the past with the present in her book Barrow-in-Furness - Reflections.

This will include pictures of the landscape, streets, buildings, industries, the dockyard and general everyday life to show things have changed in the town over time.

The book will be launched on Friday April 21 at 2pm.

It is a free event with refreshments provided, but places are limited so it is recommended to reserve a seat by calling 01228 407370 or booking on Eventbrite.

Gill has previously published a series of fantasy novels called Out of Time. The books were based on the history of Furness Abbey.

Gill has written both fiction and non-fiction through independent publisher Amberley Publishing.

Last November, she published Furness Abbey Through Time.
