THE current MP for Barrow and Furness Simon Fell has been reselected as the Conservative candidate for the next election.

Mr Fell has been the MP for Barrow and Furness since the 2019 general election after the previous Labour MP John Woodcock stood down and the Labour candidate did not win.

Mr Fell had previously contested as the Conservative candidate Barrow and Furness at the 2015 and 2017 general elections.

Simon Fell said in a statement: "I’m honoured to have been reselected to stand as the Conservative candidate for Barrow & Furness at the election. This job isn’t always easy, but it is brilliant, & I am grateful daily for the chance it gives me to fight for this fantastic place."
