BARROW AFC manager Pete Wild has confirmed that the club will begin contract conversations with a number of players in the coming weeks.

This announcement from the Barrow boss comes days after the club confirmed that Robbie Gotts had signed a new two-year deal that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2025.

Speaking about the news, Wild detailed how players are beginning to see Barrow as a progressing project with real footballing value.

He said: "They can certainly see how we are trying to help them and how we can help them progress which is really pleasing that they can see that and hopefully now we are becoming a better prospect for players wanting to come to our football club and are wanting to stay at our football club.

"They can see what we are trying to do, how we are trying to move the football club on, and how the little steps we have taken this year can give us a platform to progress next season so we are really pleased that Robbie has done that and over the next few weeks we will have some chats with some players and see where they are up to and see where that takes us."
