A BARROW musician is set to release his new single.
Mark Docherty's new song 'Pay My Debt' is out on March 20 through the Barrow label Seahouse Records.
The musician said: "Lyrically this song reflects the debt-ridden society we live in and the emotional pressure this brings to us all. Pay My Debt is a rallying cry against the anxiety brought on by the cost of just trying to get through life."
Mark has been writing music since the age of 11 and his music is influenced by David Bowie, Jack White and Prince.
He studied songwriting at Brighton Institute of Modern Music and has led London-based bands such as ‘party-rock pioneers’ Team New Band to the dark Dead Weather inspired Hari Debi.
Achievements from this include BBC Introducing support as well as headlining Archie’s Stage at YNOT festival.
After a relocation to Liverpool Mark is releasing his debut solo album Reckless Abandon is due this year.
