PETE Wild's Barrow AFC made it five unbeaten with their goalless draw against Sutton United last weekend.

The result against Matt Gray's Us means that the Bluebirds remain in the playoff conversation, retaining their four-point gap to seventh-placed Salford City.

Using WhoScored.com, we took a look at how Barrow forced Sutton United to settle for a point.

Before kick-off at the SO Legal Stadium on Saturday Sutton United were on an eight-game unbeaten streak which had seen them win four from five.

Statistically, this game reflected the result, with both sides battling in an attempt to claim a vital three points.

Both the Bluebirds and the Us had nine shots and possession was also tightly contested, with Barrow just edging it with 51.9 per cent.

Attacks were not on top in this game, as from these 18 shots from both teams, Barrow were the only side to manage an effort on goal.

Defensively, the competing outfits had their own strength with Barrow successfully winning 21 tackles to Sutton's 15 and claiming 37 defensive aerial duels to Sutton's 29.

However, Matt Gray's side edged the overall aerial duel numbers, winning 35 to Barrow's 31, and trumped the bluebirds on offensive aerial duels.

In terms of individual performances, Ben Whitfield stands head and shoulders above the rest being a creative spark in a tense game, with the Barrow maestro pulling the strings for the home side, fashioning four big chances from key passes.

For Barrow fans, the only stat that matters in this one is the final score. One that confirmed that the Bluebird's positive run of form would continue and the play-off dream, however faint, remains alive.
