A MOTORIST is due to appear in court charged with drug driving and cocaine possession.
Jake Batty, of Millom, is said to have been driving a Vauxhall Corsa in Millom while above the specified limit for two drugs.
The 19-year-old is accused of driving on Cambridge Street with 652 microgrammes per litre of blood of benzoylecgonine as well as 55 microgrammes per litre of blood of cocaine in his system.
He is also alleged to have had a quantity of Class-A drug cocaine in his possession.
The offences are said to have taken place on September 2.
Mr Batty is due to appear at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday March 15 charged with the offences.
