THREE people remain in custody this morning after being arrested on suspicion of murder.

Three people, a woman and two men, are in custody following the sudden death of a woman in Ulverston.

Police were contacted shortly before 1.30am yesterday (21 Feb) after a woman was found unconscious in the street, in the area of County Square, Ulverston.

The woman, aged in her 20s, was subsequently declared deceased.

She is said to have lived locally.

A 61-year-old man with a Lancashire address, and a 40-year-old woman and 28-year-old man, both described as local, were arrested yesterday and remain in police custody.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.

They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what occurred or the moments leading up to it, as well as anyone else with information which may assist detectives.
