BARROW top-scorer Josh Gordon is still a 'couple of weeks' away from returning from injury, according to boss Pete Wild.

The Bluebirds boss issued the update on the striker who is leading the individual scoring stats for the club so far this season with 11 goals.

Gordon has not been involved for Barrow since the 5-1 defeat against Carlisle United at the end of January where he only played around half an hour as a second half substitution.

After a precautionary scan on a sore hamstring prior to the Colchester United game on February 4 it was confirmed that the Bluebirds talisman would be out for a number of weeks.

In the latest update on the forward's condition, Wild spoke with optimism about the timescale of his absence.

He said: "He is back out running straight lines and hopefully in the next couple of weeks he will be back with the group."

Ahead of the clash with the Bantams, Wild also gave a postive update on the fitness of the rest of his Bluebirds squad.

He said: "We are all looking good, everybody else is fit and ready to go so hopefully we can give the best account of ourselves come Saturday."
