DONCASTER Rovers boss Danny Schofield was overjoyed as his charges overcame Barrow on Tuesday to pile further misery on the Bluebirds.

Barrow's miserable run continue0 ld with another 1-oss as they slipped into the bottom half of League Two for the first time this season.

Schofield, however, believes a growing self-belief among his squad, securing their third straight victory, made the difference against a Barrow side lacking confidence.

The victorious head coach said: "It was a hard fought victory.

"To keep a third clean sheet on the bounce was fantastic.

"I think the players deserve all the credit in terms of the effort and application.

"I thought the first half was very good.

"We controlled a lot of the moments and produced some really good attacking play, created some good chances, scored a good goal.

"In the second half it was very much a fight with lots of direct balls, lots of first contact and second contacts.

"I felt we were a bit open at times on the transition which we'll look back and reflect on as always."

"I can’t fault the lads. They gave everything for that victory."
