Furness Dog Training is holding their first ever Doggie Christmas event!

The four-legged Christmas party will be a paw-some social event for dogs and dog-lovers to enjoy, held at Buccleugh Hall, in Lindal.

Socialisation for pups is really important, so bring your little helper along to play games and meet some new friends on Friday December 16.

The Christmas party will have a raffle and a tombola as well as fancy dress, all with prizes such as doggy hampers and human hampers alike.

Georgina Mellor who runs Furness Dog Training, will be available to talk to all night, between 6pm and 7:30pm if you have any questions about your four-legged friend.

Georgina provides confident and tailored guidance from a friendly trainer, teaching your pet to be more polite, restrained and social.

Emma The Pop-up Photographer from Milnthorpe will also be there with a Doggy Photo Booth, to take some stunning pictures of your pet!

The portraits will be available to buy, but a free digital copy will be gifted to everyone who comes to support both Furness Dog Training and Battersea dog home.

The money raised on the night will go to Battersea dog home, an animal rescue service with a non-selective intake policy and animal charter, which means they take in any animal regardless of age, breed or medical condition and do their best to help them.

Georgina said she chose to raise money for Battersea dog home because: “My heart is with that charity. I’m pleased that there’s already been donations from a few local businesses.”

The Christmas Party is complete with nibbles, there will be refreshments available, including tea, coffee, cake, human biscuits… and dog biscuits.

Georgina Mellor from Furness Dog Training, said that she: “Hopes everyone enjoys the Christmas party.”

There are just 30 tickets for dogs available at £10 per ticket, book yours as soon as possible to avoid disappointment!

Georgina teaches puppy classes at Buccleugh Hall, in Lindal on Thursday nights, taking three classes per Thursday, targeted at helping young dogs and beginners.

Georgina also provides more intensive one on one sessions as well, where she will teach your dog how to behave in their own home, she routinely helps people persevere with obedience training.
