Two Ulverston Gentlemen have received the recognition they deserve
At an event by Ulverston Town Council, two men from the town were congratulated by the Mayor for their loyal service to the community of Ulverston.
Ulverston Town Council offered it’s Congratulations to Les Tallon who received a Freedom of the Town Award on Monday November 21, from the Mayor of Ulverston, Councillor Michelle Scrogham.
Les Tallon volunteered as the senior lighthouse keeper for the Hoad Monument for the last 10 years and was awarded the Freedom of the Town to recognise his work, as he stands down at the end of this year.
Les has done a huge amount for the Town Council, for various charities who visit the monument and for the community.
Ulverston Town Council also Congratulated Charles Rodgers, who received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Town Council, for the many years of service to the community through various charities and groups he has been involved with.
Charles Rogers received a certificate of thanks from the town council for all the work he has done over 30 years working for and supporting many groups and organisations in town as a volunteer.
