BARROW AFC will face Crawley Town on Saturday at 3pm at the Broadfield Stadium.

The Sky Bet League Two game will see the two sides clash in their fifth professional meeting.

Their past matches have all come since Barrow’s promotion back to The Football League.

Crawley Town have enjoyed a recent run of form that saw them claim a win in three of their last four games.

The Bluebirds' win in the fixture came in March last year where Scott Quigley’s 95th-minute winner delivered Barrow with three points in the five-goal thriller.

It was Scott Quigley’s second goal of the game with Tom Davies also on the score line having pouched early in the game to give Barrow the lead.

Pete Wild said: “It’s been an interesting week; we’ve had a lot of time to reflect on the six games in three weeks that we’ve had and the strides we’ve made.

“Four wins, a draw, and a defeat, we’ve tried to look at them as a group of six and where we’ve improved.

“Like we said before the game against Mansfield last Saturday we wanted to see how far we’d come.

“In 90% of industries process equals outcome, in sport sometimes it doesn’t.

“Last Saturday, the process was good, we played well. We got into the areas. We actually played better against Mansfield then we did against Colchester and Crewe. But we just didn’t score.

“But that’s football and that’s life.

“It has been a long few weeks but we’re refreshed and ready to go tomorrow.”

Tickets’ date for guaranteed delivery has now passed, but fans of Barrow who are looking to attend the fixture can purchase a ticket on the day at Crawley.

Pete continued: “I think they pose a threat to us tomorrow. They are certainly not the team of a month ago. Became more pragmatic, got excited players, especially on the counter attack.

“They have some players who can hurt.

“They have got a lot of strengths and the manager has done well preparing them.

“We know the threats they pose but we’ve had a good week to tweak some things.”
