A SCOTTISH alt-rock band have been confirmed for Barrow Music 2022.

Twin Atlantic will be playing at The Forum theatre in Barrow on September 30.

Originally from Glasgow, the band gained a national reputation with the release of top 10 albums 'GLA' and 'Great Divide'.

Their highest charting single Heart and Soul peaked at number 17 in the UK Singles Chart in 2016 with Annie Mac premiering No Sleep as the Hottest Record in the World on BBC Radio 1.

Their Barrow gig will see the band performing past hits and new songs from their latest album Transparency, released this year.

The performance is billed as: “This is Twin Atlantic as you’ve never known them. Ten candid, funny, funky songs find frontman Sam McTrusty spilling his guts on everything from marriage, male friendship and the absurdity of social media to parenthood, medication and his mum. Come and enjoy a roller coaster of emotion on Friday, September 30.”

Joanne Marwood, events manager at the Forum, said: “It’s such a busy weekend and lots of exciting bands/performances happening, however the highlight for me is Scottish alt-rock band Twin Atlantic, who are performing on Friday.

“If you’ve not heard their music but love a live gig they are definitely one to see.”
