A WINDERMERE tourist attraction will be offering free sessions for families.

Treetop Trek, the thrilling aerial adventure located on the shores of Windermere in the Lake District, is offering sessions on its Treetop Nets activity to local families every Saturday during the month of September.

The ‘free Saturday sessions’ initiative has been created by the Treetop team as a gesture to those who are feeling the effects of the cost-of-living crisis and the pandemic – which has left many families no longer able to enjoy adventurous days out together.

Families who feel they need help can claim free tickets for the outrageously fun ‘Treetop Nets’ adventure, and the team are keen to see as many local families as possible out to play this September.

Thomas Patrick Kenny, General Manager at Treetop Trek said: “All families are having to make difficult choices right now about what they can and can’t do.

"We want to give something back and offer those who may not be fortunate enough to enjoy experiences with their family, the chance to come and enjoy what we have to offer and make some memories.

"The Nets are open to ages 3-years and over, so juniors can join in on all the fun."

Suspended high-up in the ancient woodlands of the Brockhole Visitor Centre, Treetop Nets is an exciting zone park featuring 1750m2 of giant bouncy trampolines, superfast slides, giant ball zones, aerial walkways, and crawl tunnels.

Completely surrounded by three-metre-high nets on all sides, kids aged 3-years and over are safe to run wild and explore the Nets without a harness.

This year Treetop Nets has seen the addition of a brand-new ‘Walk the plank - Airbag Challenge’ and is also included within the offer, featuring a new wooden platform where brave participants (over 7s only) must ‘walk the plank’ before freefalling a whopping 5-metres into the soft airbag below.

The offer doesn’t include Treetop Trek’s classic ‘Trek’ and ‘Mini Trek’ activities.

However, guests are still left with a great mix of free and low-cost family activities to explore at the flagship Brockhole site, with beautiful gardens to explore, lawns to picnic on, shore access to Windermere and playground.

To qualify, families must be residents in Cumbria and need only bring along proof of address such as a utility bill.

All Cumbrian postcodes are included.

The offer is open to families with at least one child of school age and can be redeemed on Saturday mornings in September 2022.

To redeem this offer, simply call the Treetop bookings team 015394 47186 and receive up to four tickets per booking.
