A MORECAMBE Bay conservation project is hosting a free event in Barrow to boost awareness of the coast's sea-life.
The Bay: A Blueprint For Recovery will be inviting nature enthusiasts and families on an 'Eggcase Hunt' at the Round House Hub and Cafe on Biggar Bank, Walney.
The event will take place on Wednesday, August 10, at 1.30pm and will last for 2 hours.
A post from the organisation said: "Lots of species of (harmless) sharks and skate live in the waters around Morecambe Bay, and their eggcases often wash up on the beach.
"Searching for eggcases is a great way to learn more about these amazing animals, as well as a fantastic free event for kids in the summer holidays. Prizes to be won!
"Last time we found over 3316 eggcases, including eggcases from nursehounds, spotted rays, cuckoo rays, thornback rays, and the small spotted catshark.
"Let's see if we can break our previous record!"
