An online information session for those who want to find out more about adopting is being held.
Adopt Coast to Coast is the Regional Adoption Agency for Cumbria County Council, Durham County Council and Together for Children (Sunderland City Council).
A spokesman said: “They are a brilliant way for people to find out more about adoption in a friendly and relaxed environment.
“At each event we cover what is involved in the application, how long it takes, and we talk about the needs of the children in our care.
“We also invite a guest speaker to each event who talks openly about their own experiences of adoption and offers insight into the process.”
Events will take place on July 5 at 7pm and July 23 at 10am.
