HEAD to The Coro this October to enjoy a performance of Lionel Bart’s Oliver.

The classic musical is based on the Charles Dicken’s novel, Oliver Twist.

The show tells the story of an orphan who spent his first nine years in an orphanage and was sold to an undertaker from whom he escaped and made his way to London where he meets up with other street urchins headed by Dodger.

Dodger invites him to join them and work as pickpockets for their elderly mentor, Fagin.

Organiser say the show is ‘full of characters from Victorian England and unforgettable tunes’.

The production will be performed by Ulverston Amateurs between October 4-October 8.

Tickets can be purchased from the www.thecoro.co.uk or at The Coro in Ulverston during office hours.
