A MAN who drove a van in Barrow with only a provisional licence has been banned from the road.
Dean McKee was caught driving the Citroen Berlingo van on the A590 on December 19.
Court records said the 31-year-old's driving licence had been revoked in November 2019 and been returned to provisional status until a driving test had been completed.
He was not displaying 'L' plates and was unsupervised when stopped by police.
At Carlisle Magistrates' Court, McKee, of Martindale Road in Darlington, was convicted of driving without a licence or insurance.
He was fined £408 and told to pay a £41 victim surcharge and £110 in costs.
McKee was also banned from driving for six months.
