South Lakes Town House

Barrow's Town House holds a four star rating is a two bedroom terraced home with a luxurious lounge, kitchen and fibre broadband WiFi.

One reviewer said: "Property was spotless and very comfortable for the short stay we had. Local amenities only a short distance."

Ghyll Foot Cottage

The cottage is a 200 year old stone-built cottage situated in the attractive Cumbrian village of Ainstable in the Eden Valley.

One grateful customer to the cottage said: "This is our 4-5th trip to Ghyll Foot. Unusually for us we stayed in October, this being a much delayed (Covid) trip originally scheduled for February. As usual the cottage was exactly as expected, well maintained with evidence of recent maintenance and everything in tiptop working order. As usual we used the garage again without issue to avoid parking on the street. It accommodated our Ford Focus - as it has our Honda Jazz (i know some have mentioned it being too small). I had to take the roof box off as it was about half an inch too tall without it."

Glassonby Old Hall

This gold award winning luxury accommodation near the Lake District can provide a good stay for eight guests.

The recent renovation brings this Grade II listed traditional Cumbrian long house back into habitation for the first time since 1764.

John said: "Four generations of our family shared a fantastic weekend away at the Rowley Estates properties Glassonby Old Hall and Jenny's Croft. The area is off the beaten track but only 10 miles from the M6. Our chosen weekend coincided with Storm Arwen so we had high winds and a power cut then snow. The property is a well renovated 15th century longhouse with underfloor heating, wood fires and an Aga so we were warm, dry and cosy with hot food and drinks. The owners live nearby and could not have been more helpful, so we will be booking again. It was great fun to have a weekend together off the grid, Highly recommended."

Cottage in Underbarrow

This three-bedroom cottage has recently been refurbished and offers comfortable accommodation for six people.

The cottage has been sympathetically refurbished, incorporating a wood burning stove, fully equipped kitchen and cosy dining and living rooms.

One guest said: "Cottage was wonderful, all that we could have asked for and more. Location was perfect - away from busy Windermere but near enough to get to everywhere we wanted to go. Cottage very well equipped and comfortable."

Market Place Hideaway

The Hideaway is located in Kendal and offers easy access to the town centre.

The cottage has a private garden so at the end of the day you can relax with a glass of wine in perfect peace away from all traffic yet when you want to go out you are a few short paces away from all the attractions.

One reviewer said: "My wife and I recently stayed for five nights in the cottage and we loved it. It was exactly as described on the website. It was very clean and well equipped. The position is perfect for going out to eat being in the town centre, that said being tucked away from the market place was very quite and very close to the bus and train stations."
