A PLANNING application for new facilities at a Carlisle service station has been submitted to 'improve the busy site'.
Moto Hospitality Ltd. have submitted a planning application to submit a new 'changing places' area at the Southwaite Motorway Service area, near Carlisle.
The aim of the new facility will be to provide 'adequate facilities' for travelling customers.
The applicants said: "There is a need to improve this busy site and to provide adequate facilities for its travelling customers.
"The proposal is to meet the requirements of assisted disabled customers in their toilet and care needs whilst travelling."
The site is located between junctions 41 and 42 of the M6, access is off the dedicated slip road off the M6 southbound.
The application has been submitted to Eden District Council.
