Northampton Town boss Jon Brady insists his team will take nothing for granted as they try to clinch promotion at Barrow.

The third-placed Cobblers can seal promotion today with victory - providing fourth-placed Bristol Rovers don't also win by a huge margin.

The Bluebirds will be hoping to produce a performance which disrupts the promotion race on the final day of the season.

And Brady says AFC's improvement under Phil Brown must be respected as Northampton try to get the job done at Holker Street.

“First and foremost we have to give the opposition the highest respect and we know we are in for a hell of a game up there," he told the Cobblers website.

“They have picked up some terrific results and under Phil Brown they seem to be a lot stronger and more resilient.

“It’s going to be a really tough game and that’s how we are approaching it.

“We know it will be a tough challenge but we believe that if we are at our best it’s a challenge we can rise to.

“We’ve worked extremely hard to get into this position but the real time for reflection is when the season is done and dusted.

“There are no pats on the back right now because we still have a job to do."

Right-back Aaron McGowan's fitness is being assessed ahead of the game, following a knock.

“Everyone else is fine, as a player these are the type of games and situations you should thrive on and we can’t wait for Saturday," the Northampton boss added.

The visiting club are also beaming the game back to their Sixfields Stadium where fans will watch on a big screen.

The Cobblers are level on points with Bristol Rovers but have a better goal difference by a margin of five goals, meaning a win at the Dunes Hotel Stadium should be enough.

Bristol Rovers take on bottom side Scunthorpe in the hope they can pounce if Barrow take points off Northampton.

Mansfield Town, Port Vale and Swindon Town, in fifth, sixth and seventh respectively, also still have a mathematical chance of claiming the third automatic promotion place on the final day.
