AN EXHIBITION that celebrates local women's contributions to the community is taking over the town in the form of collages.

Led by artists Belén L.Yáñez and Cristina Villalonga, Noras of Barrow celebrates women’s contributions to Barrow’s community as well as the role of diverse women in their daily lives.

Noras of Barrow will see 16 women from Barrow take over public spaces in the town centre - in the shape of life-sized collages.

There will also be an exhibition held at the Forum displaying framed prints of the works and quotes from an additional 17 women who were interviewed as part of the project.

The exhibition will run from Saturday, May 21 until Saturday, June 4 and will be open:

  • Saturday, May 21: 10am – 4pm
  • Thursday, May 26: 10am – 4pm
  • Friday, May 27: 10am – 4pm
  • Thursday, June 2: 10am -4pm
  • Saturday, June 4: 10am – 4pm
