Barrow AFC are reminding fans of their major ticket offer for the last game of the season this weekend.

Local schoolchildren, junior football clubs, emergency services workers and under 18s can watch the Northampton game for free.

The Bluebirds say their initiative is a way of saying thank-you to fans for their support, and to celebrate securing a third consecutive season back in the EFL.

The game is also a crucial one for the visitors, who are hoping to secure promotion, meaning a good atmosphere is likely at the Dunes Hotel Stadium.

Speaking about the Back The Bluebirds campaign, club general manager Alisha Henry said: “It’s been another season full of ups and downs and we wanted to give something back to our supporters and also create a big atmosphere on the final day.

“Our fans have been magnificent – home and away – throughout 2021/22 and have undoubtedly played a huge part in us getting over the line for League Two safety.

“Now, we hope that the Northampton game can see everyone come together one more time to celebrate our status as a proud EFL club and send us off into the summer in a positive fashion.”

Local schools and junior football clubs can apply for free tickets by completing an online application form on the club website.

Tickets for local emergency services workers and Under-18s can be purchased in advance from the Dunes Hotel Stadium up to 4.30pm on Friday. Relevant ID will be required when purchasing.
