SOME of the UK’s finest printmakers will be showcasing their work at a festival championing the original hand-made print.
Meet the artists, discover more about their methods, and maybe find a treasured print to take home at Printfest Ulverston from April 28 to May 1.
Printfest is more than an average exhibition – it’s a unique opportunity to really get under the skin of a wonderfully creative artform, with 45 displaying artists on-hand to talk to you about their practice.
READ MORE: Art lovers to descend on town for Printfest
With Fringe activities from workshops to miniature exhibitions extending out of The Coro and into the town, it’s a festival that genuinely lives and breathes the mantra that good art should be available and affordable for everyone.
As well as being able to browse, talk, and buy from the likes of Printfest's headline artists - Printmaker of the Year 2022 Anita Klein and Printmakers’ Printmaker Helen Murgatroyd - attendees can vote for their favourite artist, purchase their own printmaking supplies, refresh themself with a drink and bite to eat, take home a memento in the form of the highly collectable Printfest catalogue, and much more.
Although there will be tickets at the door, potential visitors are being urged to pre-book at: www.thecoro.co.uk
