Tesco has issued an urgent product recall after E. coli fears.
The supermarket giant shared a recall for a brand of butter as a precaution because some batches were found to contain high levels of E. coli.
This can cause symptoms such as severe stomach, diarrhea and vomiting.
The product affected is Trewithen Dairy Unsalted Butter 250g, with a best before date of May 23 and a batch code of G2 073.
Those who have bought the product are urged to return it.
A Tesco statement said: "If you’ve bought an affected product, please don’t eat it. Instead, return it to a Tesco store where a full refund will be given. No receipt is required."
Shoppers can also get more information by contacting Trewithen Dairy Customer Services on 01208 228 700 or Tesco Customer Services on 0800 505 555.
No other batches or other Trewithen Dairy products are known to be affected.
