CUMBRIA police have issued an update on the condition of a 15 year old boy who was stabbed at Walney school.
The boy was flown to Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool after he was stabbed multiple times in the body, police said.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested at Barrow police station on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
A police spokesman said: "The 15 year old boy is in a stable condition in hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening at this time.
"The 16 year old remains in police custody."
