MOUNTAIN rescuers were called out in the early hours of the morning after a car became stuck along a mountain pass when the driver 'panicked'.
Langdale/Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team (LAMRT) was called to Wrynose Pass at around 12.40am on Tuesday morning.
An LAMRT spokesman said: "The driver panicked and was unable to continue or get back down."
The spokesman said the team went to retrieve the occupants of the vehicle 'after consultation with police and ambulance'.
