Promotion-chasing Mansfield Town could involve experienced new signing Lucas Akins for the first time against Barrow AFC today.
This afternoon's visitors moved for the Burton Albion attacker this week.
And the 32-year-old could be in the frame for a debut against Mark Cooper's Bluebirds at Holker Street.
Akins joined the Stags after an eight-year spell at Burton which amounted to 345 appearances and 71 goals.
He has now dropped a division to be reunited with his former Brewers boss Nigel Clough, whose in-form side sit seventh in League Two.
Akins spoke of his ambition to succeed at Mansfield upon signing.
“The club is very ambitious,” he told the Stags' website.
“The owners are very ambitious and they’ve consistently tried to achieve success.
“To have the opportunity to come and represent this club is something that I really want to relish.
“It’s always easier coming into a team that’s in a good run of form.
“I hope the run continues and that it culminates in success for this club."
Captain Ollie Clarke could return for the visitors at Holker Street today after a hamstring injury.
