RESIDENTS have continued to voice their concerns and frustrations over Covid passports.

This came after the owner of Manhattan's nightclub, who also own Hollywood, Broadway and Theatre Bar on the same street, have announced their plans for checking attendees Covid passport.

This move aligns the bars with new Government guidance which says venues which hold more than 500 people or outdoor venues with a capacity to hold more than 4,000 must require a covid pass or negative lateral flow to enter.

Localshoplocalpeople said: "Totally pointless as a 'passport' wont stop you catching or passing the virus to others, whether vaccinated or not!"

Leslie Trotter said: "Pointless? Tell that to the overworked staff at Furness General Hospital."

Tony Fallows said: "I am in favour of anything that keeps folk safe. Passport or no passport."

Stephen Clarke said: "They'll all end up going bust, because nobody will go."

Callum Wager said: "Of course it's pointless. A Covid passport won't stop them from getting Covid."

Jon Williamson, simply put "It won't work."

John Goligy said: "Why only after 1am, does the virus only spread after 1am now?"

Russel Babbs said: What's the big problem? they ask for age ID."

Anne-Marie White said: "According to Barrow Borough Council this is for any presmises serving alcohol after 1am or play music where people may possibly dance."

David Armstrong said: "Vaccine passports are a pseudo step towards mandatory vaccines, which is a Very dangerous precedence to set."

Emma Banks said: "They're only following Government regulation, if you don't like it then don't vote for them."

Lewis Goulding said: "I imagine the business owners and family are about about it as well and so will the staff."

David Edgerton said: "Ultimately, if it helps prevent the spread of a highly infectious disease then it should be considered a good move but I can see it upsetting some folk."
