AN ULVERSTON woman is due to appear at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court this morning after being accused of theft and assaulting two emergency workers.

Ms Tara Ann Green, 51, of Leather Lane has been handed two charges of common assault on an emergency worker.

Ms Green is said to have assaulted PC 3131 Cross and PC 2581 Stanway on October 8.

She is also said to have failed to comply with the requirements of a community order made by Furness and District Magistrates Court on June 29.

On October 19 Ms Green is said to have stolen vitamins and headphones to the value of £40.75 from Tesco in Barrow.

On the same day she is said to have stolen a ladies' bra to the value of £43.50, belong to Boudoir Pink in Ulverston.

She is also accused of stealing an electric sound system and a CD player to the value of £64 from Tesco in Barrow on August 21.
