Since Furness Building Society first opened its doors in 1865, the way in which people access financial services has changed dramatically.

Some things - like technology - have accelerated the pace of change and for many it has meant improved access to services.

For others, however, the threat of branch closures has caused concern for those unable to access online services.

The rapid speed at which services are evolving  has become even more evident since the pandemic, but some things will never change and our commitment to the people of Cumbria is one of them.

At Furness we are embracing digital change to improve the customer experience, but we are also immensely proud to combine this with access to an established network of branch services - and a friendly face - at a time when other financial institutions are moving away.

Over the years, we have helped generations of families achieve their short and long term financial goals - whether that’s planning for the future, buying their forever home or saving for a holiday - and we want to continue to do so, in a way that suits you.

We know that the best way to understand what people need is to listen to them and that’s why we’re asking you to share your views on the bank and building society services currently offered in your region.

You do not have to be an existing customer of Furness Building Society to take part - we want to understand the bigger picture. Whoever your provider is, we want to know what is and isn’t working for you. What challenges do you face? Is there anything specific you want to see from your financial provider, both now and in the future?
