Concern has been raised after a fake £20 note was used in a town shop as payment.
Millom Post Office shared an image of the 'poond' note handed in as payment to a shop.
Staff at the Millom-based shop did not realise the note was counterfeit until closer inspection.
People in the town are being urged to remain vigilant of any fake money in circulation.
