A SUPERMARKET went all out to raise much needed funds for two great causes.
Dalton Co-op, found on Market Street, ran a fundraising week, from November 6-14, to raise money for veteran charities Help For Heroes and The Poppy Appeal.
The Co-op team offered ration style hampers in a raffle, and staff were dressed in costume for the occasion.
They also played a game of name the British bulldog bear, and Dalton Town Band performed in-store for customers.
Ulverston singer Becki Fishwick also performed in-store to keep the customers occupied while shopping.
A spokeswoman for the store said: “The week long event raised £420 for Help For Heroes and £469.60 for The Poppy Appeal.
"We are very grateful for the support of all our customers who donated so generously.”
Customers dug deep to support the community event.
One said: "I thought it was a really lovely idea.
"I was very touched by all the effort they had gone to."
