READERS have shared their excitement after it was revealed that a former town centre pub is preparing to reopen.

The Knights has been transformed into a sports bar by its new owners following extensive refurbishment.

Some £250,000 has been spent on revamping the building in Dalkeith Street after it was purchased in 2019.

The venue is due to open to punters today, three years after the last pint was pulled there.

The refurbished venue will be open from 12pm, with a DJ to play in the evening.
