A BARROW born star has released a music video for her latest single Bad Addiction.

Singer-songwriter Wallis' new track has seen great success, and was picked as a BBC Music Introducing track in Cumbria.

The song is 24-year-old Wallis' fifth single release since starting out as a brand new artist in Spring 2020, and also marks her fourth BBC Introducing single of the week.

Exploring themes of desire and addiction within destructive relationships, Bad Addiction is Wallis' most pop influenced single to date and uses a real string quartet that adds a dark edginess to the verses of the track.

The dramatic lyrics allow Wallis to sing the story of a relationship that is the perfect storm.

Desire, frustration, anger, lust and humour are laid bare in this fiery Halloween timed release.

She has been singing since the age of five and her debut single Never Gonna Be was released in early 2020 and was featured on Spotify’s popular releases before being chosen as BBC introducing track of the week on BBC Radio Cumbria.

Shortly after it was picked for national airplay on BBC Radio 1 with Hew Stephens.

In January Wallis was also chosen as one of the BBC Introducing Artist ‘Ones to Watch’ for 2021.

Talking about the track, Wallis said: “Bad Addiction is the guy you know isn’t any good for you. He’s the one that your friends will shout at you for when you say I’m talking to him again.

"The music video was so much fun to film. I wanted to create the image of a bad dream and I knew the release date was near Halloween so I also wanted to add a bit of a spooky element to it. It turned out exactly how I envisaged!"

The track is available to listen to on all major music streaming platforms.
