A MAN from Walney is due to appear at magistrates' court in Barrow charged with a drugs offence.
Peter Penman is accused of having in his possession 'a quantity' of a controlled drug of class A.
It is said the drug he had was diamorphine (heroin).
It is said he had it in his possession on September 10 of this year.
The alleged offence took place in Barrow.
Penman, of Conway Gardens, is 30 years old.
He is due to appear at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court, situated in Abbey Road, on Monday, November 8.
