A LUNCH time recital from an up-and-coming young cellist will have you listening to the romanticism of Schumann and Chopin and the modernism of Shostakovich.

Winner of the prestigious Young Concert Artist Trust, Azerbaijan-born cellist Jamal Aliyev studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School with Thomas Carroll and is rapidly making a name for himself as one of the finest cellists of his generation.

He performed at the BBC Proms in 2017 and most recently Elgar’s much-loved Cello Concerto with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Jamal will be performing at The Coro Hall in Ulverston on October 29 at 1pm.
