AN ACTION group has appealed for volunteers to help protect and enhance a woodland area.
Gill Banks Action Group are looking for volunteers to plant bulbs, clear pathways, prune brambles and shrubs and much more.
The aim of this group is to protect and enhance Gill Banks in Ulverston by developing a Woodland Management Plan and arranging work parties to carry out projects.
Volunteers are asked to meet at the gill car park near the toilet block on Sunday, October 24 and Sunday, November 7 and Sunday, November 21 from 10.30am till 1pm.
