ARTWORK is set to be sold off to raise vital funds for those in need of counselling and support.

Former art teacher and talented artist Sharon Tait launched 'Artworks - Art4All' with a team of volunteers to raise funds and awareness for mental health and well-being charities.

Following on from the great success of raising several thousand pounds for Dalton Leisure Centre and Barrow & Kendal based mental health charity SAFA, Sharon and her team decided they wanted to do more to help those in need of support.

Sadly many people are suffering with enduring mental health issues and one in four people will experience mental health problems at some time in their lives.

Art4All is running a 'buy now' sale of original artwork for considerably lower prices to help raise much-needed funds for SAFA.

The five week sale starts at 6pm on October 25, and ends at 8pm Sunday November 28.

There are more than 250 pieces of amazing artwork, donated by 130 generous local artists.

There is something for everyone with prices ranging from £5 to £30.

Each piece would normally sell for considerably more, however the sale is to give people the opportunity of owning affordable art, and to raise money for SAFA, who make a positive difference to the lives of individuals who self-harm and those who support them.

Art sold will be replaced at the end of each week with new items.

50 items will be up for sale via the 'ArtWorks - Art4All' Facebook page each week.

To buy a piece of art, all you have to do is comment under the item you want, if you are the first person to comment, the item's yours.

All money raised will go directly to SAFA.
