AFTER pledging to stop their protests for 11 days, Insulate Britain's motives have come into question.

The activist group has taken part in numerous motorway and road protests over the last four weeks to demand the government make a commitment to insulate homes across Britain.

However, they are currently on an 11-day 'ceasefire'.

615 said: "What a middle class, white set of protesters. Of course the poor dears have to have a holiday from protesting at half-term. Obviously there will be no damage to the environment for 11 days."

Adam Edwards said: "The biggest problem with this group is their attitude towards others, given trying to force their agenda by on the Government indirectly while claiming they already tried.

"There are plenty of things they could be doing with their time, challenging MPs individually and directly in the public interest.

"Supporting local scheme to insulate homes even by knitting draft excluders joining local reuse and repair workshops. They instead are choosing a more dangerous path and one that fixes nothing and could lead to serious conclusions or imprisonment none of add any value."

Darren Smith said: "This is why food is not getting to shops; make it a crime to sit in the road."

Grumpyoldbiker said: "What is required is for the police to do their job, ensuring people can go about their lawful business without let or hindrance from this sort of mob rule."

Angus MeCoatup said: "Very few people have discussed the insulation because of these protests, they only talk about the arrogant protesters, who don't realise the harm they are doing to their so-called cause. Protest somewhere that doesn't cause pollution, endanger the public, and perhaps gain some support. Their demands are unrealistic, but they don't care. Most are hypocrites anyway."
