A CUMBRIAN artist is urging people to witness the performative installation on the Duddon Estuary.

Irene Rogan will be collaborating with filmmaker Larry Campbell on the event entitled 'An odyssey: encountering fear and hope' which will take place on the incoming tide on October 20 between 11am and 12.30pm.

The artwork will be visible from the train and from the embankment at The Green and Lady Hall, next the Foxfield Viaduct. The work is said to transform from Raft to site-specific environmental artwork.

This forms part of the wider 'Unpublished Tour' art project and the waters of Duddon Estuary will provide a 'drastic stage' upon which the artist will be carried inland on a raft.

This process known as journeying will show the artist embodied experience of the sea's elemental forces, its moods, its rhythms, presented as a performance.
