A POLICE apology for using an image of black drug dealer sparks outrage with the community.
Cumbria police have issued an apology after using an image of a black person dealing drugs.
The force has said they accept it was a poor choice of imagery.
A spokesman for the force said: "We are aware of concerns raised regarding a leaflet which includes an image of a black person dealing drugs. The leaflet has been used as part of efforts to gain further information on drug supply within our county.
Diversity Grove said: "Beyond woke. Nearly every advert I see is fronted by a black person yet this 'positive inclusion' apparently needs an apology.
"I wonder what a what a appropriate image will look like next time?
"Pathetic."
nosensenononsense. said: "Who have they issued an apology to and why? This act is in itself discrimination.
"No wonder that confidence in the Police is collapsing."
Norman G said: "I hope for gods sake they don't dare use an image of a white person instead !!! Just as racist
"Perhaps a horse dealing drugs? A fish? That shouldn't upset the wokes too much."
Chrissy Mccarthy said: "They should use a disabled person, a black person, a white person and a trans person, a gay person a straight person a homeless person a working person an unemployed person, person that identifies as a non person, a dog a cat and a dolphin, that way hopefully no one is offended."
Hughie Corr said: "Ok to use a white picture though, ridiculous."
