South Cumbria Magistrates' Court
AN employee who stole more than £2,000 from a business has been sentenced.
Barrow man Ali Akyuz took £2,137 from Siavash Vahabzadeh of Imperial Foods and Packaging in Gloucester.
Appearing at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court, the 51-year-old defendant admitted he committed the offence on January 27 last year.
Akyuz, of Ewan Close, was sentenced to 200 hours of unpaid work and 20 rehabilitation activity days for the offence.
Court papers said the company recovered the losses through insurance.
