THE Barrow-born St Helens player Morgan Knowles is set to feature in Saturday's Super League Grand Final against Catalan Dragons.

The former Barrow Island Loose Forward will look to claim yet another trophy with his side after a successful season at St Helens.

The reigning champions take on Catalans Dragons at Old Trafford live on Sky Sports at 6pm.

St Helens turned on the style to secure an emphatic 36-8 win over Leeds in the semi final which saw them reach a record-extending 13th Grand Final and a step closer to a third successive Super League title.

The reigning champions ran in six tries to two to earn a trip to Old Trafford.

Fellow grand finalists Catalans Dragons earned their way the final by beating Hull KR 28-10 despite missing the inspirational presence of Sam Tomkins.

The Dragons wasted no time as raced into a 12-0 lead at the half hour mark, with converted tries from Garcia and Drinkwater before Shaun Kenny-Dowall narrowed scores to 12-4 at half-time.

Arthur Mourgue extended Catalans lead within sixty seconds of the restart before two further Dragons tries sealed the victory.

Knowles was named the club's 2020 'player of the year' for his performance during the campaign, which saw the club clinch an 8-4 Super League Grand Final win against Wigan Warriors at the KCOM Stadium after finishing second in the regular season table.

Knowles was born in Barrow-in-Furness and his career began with Ulverston before he later joined Barrow Island.
