BOSSES of a South Lakeland convenience store travelled to the capital for a national awards ceremony.
Wendy and Carl Howe, owners of Cockles Convenience Store situated on Church Walk, Flookburgh, were finalists in the National Federation of Independent Retailers (NFRN) Shop Local, Shop Little Hero’s 2020 awards.
A spokesman for the convenience store said: “Thank you to all of our hardworking and supportive staff who have all helped achieve this.”
The NFRN celebrates 12 retailers who have gone above and beyond for their local community during the coronavirus crisis at the Shop Local, Shop Little Heroes Awards luncheon which took place at The Ritz in London.
Each finalists received £100s of stock from Mondelez, £100s of stock from Boost and a £100 voucher from the NFRN.
