THIS week, I, Bald Foodie Guy, decided taste a house special from a local Turkish restaurant.

I drove down to Izgara Restaurant, they're a Turkish restaurant that you can find at 3 Cavendish Street in Barrow.

They offer a 20 per cent discount for those who go to collect their food.

I ordered a Izgara House Special Kebab.

The house special came with lamb shish, chicken shish, Adana kebab, chicken doner and two chicken wings.

I also got two dips - a chilli dip and a garlic mayo dip - a tub of salad, a tub of rice and some pita bread.

They had put extra pita in, that was very good of them!

The pita's smelt absolutely gorgeous.

All in all it cost me £15.90 for the Izgara House Special Kebab. I'd never been here before so it was a first time for me and I couldn't wait to tuck in and try it.

The food didn't half smell good!

The lamb shish was gorgeous, it was a real treat.

The meat is all chargrilled, you can really taste it as well.

The chargrill flavour is absolutely gorgeous, this was a wow moment.

I tried the dips alongside the meal. I love chilli sauce and this one was lovely.

It really started to pick up the heat, it was gorgeous.

The garlic mayo was lovely too. It was just so creamy and tasty, it's beautiful.

I was dining well.

The Adana kebab was beautiful too, it's all well cooked and seasoned well. the flavours are really, really lovely.

Adana kebabs are made up of seasoned ground lamb.

Next up was the chicken which was lovely.

This takeaway was on another level.

This is just not what you would get on a Sunday morning or Saturday night when you have been on a night out and you go in your local takeaway and order a kebab.

This is the next level. This is beautiful.

This takeaway was so tasty. I don't think I have ever had a kebab like this before, not as good as this.

It was not a bad salad either, there are some healthy vegetables in there.

Overall the meal of Izgara was absolutely gorgeous, check them out - they are on Facebook and other social media.

This is definitely one that I will be going to again.

The food was gorgeous, well seasoned and well cooked.

I couldn't find any fault with that meal, no faults whatsoever.

Top marks for that and it's not a bad price, it's a treat for me and my good lady.
